Experimental Ripple Day 6
I decided to paint in my beautiful backyard this afternoon with the birds chirping, the crows cawing, the bees buzzing by and my daughter silently giving me company.
The first couple of minutes of the video were pre-recorded so you’ll see a quality difference when the live starts and ambient music starts playing. It’s because I am far removed from our router and the Wi-Fi signal keeps fluctuating (which is a good learning when doing lives from our backyard).
Today’s token-making involved simple watercolor studies with liquid watercolors and metallic colors, a single brush and whatever florals wanted to emerge. I hope this shows you just how uncomplicated watercoloring can be and how simple florals are.
If you’d like to give this technique a try and spread some kindness in your communities, I’d love to hear about it.
This backyard location is incidentally also where I am hosting my first in-person gathering since Covid. If you’d like to join me, here’s more information.
Want to know more about what these tokens are? Here’s a deeper look.
