Why Letting Go Matters
Letting go isn’t just about sharing what you create—it’s about releasing everything that keeps your creativity small and constrained. When you let go of perfectionism, old stories about your worth, the need to control outcomes, and attachment to how others respond, you free yourself to create from a place of authentic expression rather than fear.
Please note: This is how I practice letting go—your way might look completely different, and that’s exactly as it should be.

Take a moment
Practice releasing what’s holding you back:
Name one story you tell yourself about your creativity:
“I’m not good enough.”
“Real artists don’t...”
Say out loud: “I’m letting go of the need to...” (be perfect, control how this turns out, prove myself)
Take three breaths and feel what it’s like to release that grip
Ask: “What would I create if I didn’t need to hold onto anything?”

Nurture Your Practice
Tools for practicing release this week:
Make something intentionally imperfect and leave it that way
When you catch yourself in an old narrative, say “That’s not mine to carry anymore”
Create something with no plan for what happens to it next
Notice when you’re measuring yourself against others and redirect to your own work
Share something you’ve made without watching for reactions

Let it Bloom
Questions for deeper reflection:
What stories about my creativity am I ready to release?
How does my work change when I let go of needing it to be perfect or worthy in someone else’s eyes?
How can I practice letting go of outcomes while still caring about my creativity?
What changes in me when I shift from “keeping” to “giving”?

A Gentle Reminder
Your creative needs shift with life's rhythms. The word that found you today is simply a reflection of where you are right now—not where you'll always be. If you took this quiz next week, next month, or next year, you might discover a completely different word calling to you. That's not inconsistency—that's being human.
Your creative spirit is allowed to need different things in different seasons.
