A Token for Teachers

As the first week of school came to an end, my daughter’s homeroom teacher received a gratitude token.

Expectations were set. New rules established. Seeds of friendship sown. None of it is easy. Teaching is some of the hardest, most heart-expanding work there is.

If you know a teacher, let them know—again and again—how much they’re appreciated. Small gestures of gratitude matter more than we realize.

Handmade gratitude token with a painted orange leaf design and the word ‘Inspire,’ tied with string, placed next to a brown kraft paper card with the words ‘thank you!’ written in blue. Created to appreciate a teacher at the start of the school year.

Created with distress sprays and a gel plate, this token is part of a large 22×30 painting from which I created 75 tokens of appreciation.
