Oak Leaves & Ripples
Yesterday afternoon, I joined a virtual co-working session. We began by setting intentions. Mine was simple: to write a newsletter draft.
In the last six days, 92 tokens have been taken. Each one is handmade, multi-layered, and takes at least 45 minutes to make. That’s where most of my creative energy has been going, so I figured the co-working session would be an opportunity to simply write instead of making more art.
Halfway through the session, I got derailed by the background music and found myself reaching for the gel plate instead. Oak leaves from my daughter’s school sitting in a neat pile on the tabletop caught my eye, and suddenly I was deep in the process of printing again—layering blues, greens, and reds until the page transformed.
The result? A new set of tokens that will soon make their way into the Ripple Station™.
Oh well. Something got done. The newsletter draft can be tackled later.
